toilet shenanigans
Our toilet broke tonight. I heard the water and thought my dad was taking a shower, but then I came up and he was sitting there and the dishwasher wasn't on. So, I was all "huh" and went back downstairs. Then five minutes later, I walk into the room and realize there's a huge wet spot on the carpet. It had soaked through about ten feet of carpet and there was two inches on the bathroom floor.
The crack:
How the fuck does that even happen? To be honest, I always thought that toilet seemed a little unstable but. That was unexpected. You can't see it but it was cracked clear from the handle to the bottom of the tank. I can't even imagine how much damage it would have done if we hadn't been home.
My dad was holding the arm thing up to keep it from filling with water and I was madly rushing around trying to figure out something to put in it temporarily.
The system I rigged up:
It worked like a charm til we could find a wrench to turn the water off.
So yeah, that was my excitement for the evening!
