all we know is...

Look, I made a new icon! It's The Stig from Top Gear. The Stig is waiting for the bus because he believes in taking public transportation when he can't go at least 200 km/h. Mr. Businessman is turned on shocked by his bus-stop companion's shiny purple faceplate and strong, sinewy muscles encased in white overalls. Their eyes meet... or they would if Mr. Businessman could see The Stig's eyes. They will probably never see each other again. But for this one moment, they are together in front of a colorful striped wall. Mr. Businessman will go home and write a "Missed Connections" ad and put it on Craigslist, hoping against hope. But The Stig doesn't go on the Internet and so their love shall never be nurtured, never consummated, never fulfilled. And yet for one moment...

It could have been.

OK, I got a little carried away there.

I BELIEVE IN THEIR LOVE. THEY WILL FIND EACH OTHER, SERENDIPITOUSLY, SOME DAY.

No, no, it was a niece little piece. Nice icon too. Stig slash is hard to write, I know.

Thank you! Heh, it was completely spontaneous. You've written Stig slash? There's a prompt for lgbtfest that is intriguing me, "The Stig is not an alien. The Stig is trans (transwoman or transman, you decide)." I have no idea how that would work but I like it.

Yeah, Stig/Torchwood cross over ;) http://nimnod.livejournal.com/298324.html#cutid1

That was such a great episode of Top Gear too... Although not as good as the one where they drive across Botswana.

"Oliver! Noooo!"

And I don't even have a driver's license...

Yeah, that was a great episode. Haven't seen the Botswana one yet but I'll be on the look-out for it.

And I don't even have a driver's license...

Hehe. I'm not sure if you should be taking tips from them...

Oh, I just watch it because it's great fun! We went through a phase of watching them in batches of 2-3- no more, because we'd end up horizontal on the floor, laughing...

My man, of course, also watches it so he can drool over the cars.

The original's there (http://community.livejournal.com/topgearslash/826529.html - that links to the last section which has all the links for the previous scetions) and I think it's members only. If you're averse to joining to read it let me know and I'm sure we can make a plan =)
