In case anyone is trying or has tried in the past two days to reach me by email, I can't get into my email account right now, because Fred (my computer; my car is named George; this was not intentional) is broken and at the repair place, and I can't remember my password. Argh! In the meantime, you can comment here (I'm screening comments on this post) if you need to talk to me. ETA: I GOT BACK INTO MY EMAIL! YAY!

The other reason I haven't been around much lately is that I got a job! I'm working at a farm stand. It's pretty fun though sometimes rather cold.

I was so pathetic yesterday without my computer, that the boy brought his work computer home for me. So now I can get on the internet, but all my icons and stories that I've been working on are GONE (temporarily. If it was permanent, I would be freaking out a lot more. But HOPEFULLY, the worst case scenario is that it wouldn't work anymore but all the data should be recoverable. *fingers crossed*) I'm still going to try to work on my Yuletide story tonight though... But so much for sending what I have to the beta, at least til tomorrow.

Yesterday I finished reading "The Amulet of Samarkand" by Jonathan Stroud. It's incredibly slashy, in my interpretation, anyway - for example one of the characters, a djinni, mentions "a boy I had once known, someone I had loved" who turns out to be... a few potential spoilers here ) I'm all psyched to read the next book in the trilogy as soon as I can get my mitts on it. I'm trying to figure out if the Bartimaeus Trilogy ("Amulet of Samarkand" is the first book) has been one of the Yuletide Treasure fandoms in years past - it wasn't this year - but with the archive closed, I can't find out! Grrr.
