Wow, great story. John/Brian isn't my slash OTP, but it's definitely one that I enjoy reading, especially when it's well-written.
Anyway, I love the characterizations here, especially Brian's and Andy's. I like that they're all still together, even if John and Claire are on the outs and causing tension. I also love what you did with Andy and Allison, with her maybe needing help and Andy not believing it (because he sees the "real" Allison, the one no one else sees, and because he cares too much -- at least, that's what I felt). But I loved Andy's worry and irritation and overall characterization.
I felt like you handled the John/Brian interaction realistically. I loved the little details mostly: John reading Brian's comics; John's hideaway; Brian's paranoia at being left out; his offer of milk and cookies. I think my favorite part was when Brian stubbed out the cigarette, because it was just so Brian and made it feel more real.
One thing I didn't get the first time, and I was just about to ask about them, were the sections in italics. They didn't quite fit together the first time, but then I reread them and they clicked. Anyway, really nice job on this story; I hope you decide to write more TBC fics, especially slash since we have a bit of a shortage. :)
