I'm sorry to hear about Gink. My dog died in the fall, too. She lived with my parents, but she was mine, you know? Your new cats sound like fun, and I'm glad you're giving them a loving home in which to be silly and crazy.
Arthurain things: Stephen R. Lawhead has The Pendragon Cycle, which I think consists of Taliesin, Merlin, Arthur, Pendragon, and Grail. It's an interesting version of the Arthurian legend in that it adds the lost city of Atlantis into the mix. I also really like Anne McCaffrey's Black Horses for the King. It's intended for young readers, but so is half of what I read. It's all from the perspective of a boy who cares for horses.
In my life: Hmmmmm. I feel very boring. I told you that I fell headlong into bandom. I've written two short High School AU things for it, which I can link you if you feel like reading. Madly in love with Chad/Ryan from High School Musical, despite the fact that it's High School Musical, of all things. Still loving SGA and BtVS. Ummm ... I'm doing a fast right now. I just started, so I'm not feeling too bad yet, and I'm drinking lots of water.
