I was going to get caught up on reading my flist yesterday, but got completely distracted by the lolcats quiz. I did it so many times I forget what I got first, possibly the Jesus Christ It's A Lion, Get In The Car! cat (though as a friend pointed out, that cat is more likely thinking "Jesus Christ I'm in a car, get me the fuck out!")

Do the British say "shit" or "shite"? Or do they just sound like they're saying "shite" when they're saying "shit"? (Like the way they sound like they're saying "mum" when they say "ma'am." I learned this from watching The Queen.) Or do they say both shit and shite, depending...?

Oh yeah, so I downloaded the HP book torrent. I've only read the first chapter and a half. It doesn't feel right. Not that I have moral qualms (because I'm going to be buying a used copy either way - I don't have the money to be buying a new copy when there are going to be tons of copies floating around a few weeks later.) But reading it on a computer screen, I feel like I don't absorb it as much as from a book. Though if it was typed out, I wouldn't mind so much I s'pose. Enh. It's nice to savor it anyway, b/c once it's over, it's really over (but for the fanfic, anyway.) On the other hand, I don't want to miss the crazy fanning extravangza (that seems to have already started) just because I'm avoiding spoilers...
