I am now a proud, paid member of JournalFen - for the next six months. I'm going to have fun with those 500 icons. Same name over there as well, but nothing to see yet. I was expecting to put this off for longer but - with more pressing things to procrastinate on (like, oh, the packing I should be doing for the weeklong trip I'm leaving on tomorrow) - I managed to find the time.
Help.com is fun - very similar to Twitter but for getting and giving help/advice. Another difference is no character limits (I think.) Not sure how I feel bout the semi-nonconsensual membership thing (by which I mean, they require your email address to post anonymously and then use your email to create a user account for you without you having to go and "register". I find it a little off-putting, though it's probably a good way to suck people in.)
Notes (to self) on book "Bird by Bird":
(1) one short assignment (the one-inch frame)
(2) shitty first drafts
