gigantic did an amazing picspam of Disashi (of Gym Class Heroes.) Go see the slashiness and the hotness (new beard!!!) and utter cuteness of him and his girlfriend. Yay! I love when bandom gives me stuff I've been wishing for.
So, I transcribed this rather silly interview with Disashi a while back. I'm a big fan of transcripts since I kind of hate having to watch awkward videos on youtube for my canon. Though Sashi is totally adorable and deadpan in this, so you should go watch it once anyway.
Disashi on The Brittany Equation Show
Brittany: With me right now is D (Di?) aka Sashi or Disashi from Ithica New York and the band Gym Class Heroes
Disashi: Hey, how you doing?
Brittany: Good, how are you?
Disashi: I'm feeling great.
Brittany: How does it feel to be in Buffalo NY?
Disashi: It feels very close to home but... not close enough. But at least we have a lot of famiy and friends coming out tonight.

Brittany: Aren't you going on tour with Gwen Stefani?
Disashi: That we are doing, and we're doing that in Australia later this summer. It's crazy because when I go home, I still have a poster of No Doubt in my bedroom. [He sounds so deadpan, I almost believe him. LOL.]
Brittany: So it's like a dream come true.
Disashi: It is. I still have not been pinched. I'm waiting for it.
Brittany: Would you like me to pinch you? [she pinches his arm, he kind of rocks back] Sorry. Congratulations on it.
Disashi: [laughs] Thank you. Damn, I guess it's real.
Brittany: What else do you stay up on? [THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE INTERVIEW!]
Disashi: Stay up on Guitar Hero.
Brittany: Guitar hero?
Disashi: I shred Guitar Hero. Who wants to battle me? I'm not gonna lie, I've never lost. Actually the reason I got good is because we got Guitar Hero this summer, on Warped Tour, we won it, and um, I didn't want to get made fun of because I'm the guitar player. But it has nothing to do with guitar playing. But I knew that if I sucked, I'd get made fun of, so I spent like endless nights just getting good at it.

[on how he started playing guitar] I was running around the house with my brother and sister and I saw a little acoustic guitar sitting there and I was like whoa, what's that? [shrugs] It was over. After that, I just picked it up and started messing with it. I never put it back down.

One day I hope to have my first name pronounced correctly. By anybody.
Brittany: Well, does your mom pronounce it correctly?
Disashi: Sometimes. Just kidding, just kidding.
Brittany: What about you, do you pronounce it correctly?
Disashi: I do. Cause I say it all the time. To myself. [Ahaha. Wait, how do you pronounce his name?]

And that would be reason #439 that I love Disashi. Seriously there should be more fic with him. (Disashi/Travis, plz?)
