They're redefining Amazon Rank.

If you want to help them google bomb, just link to that page with the words "amazon rank" - explanation here. (Though it won't do much good if your blog disallows webcrawlers.)

Welcome to the internets, Amazon SUCKERS!

Have I mentioned how pissed I am that books like The Transgender Child: A Handbook for Families and Professionals no longer have an Amazon rank? Or that if you search for Becoming a Visible Man by Jamison Green (even though the title gets filled in automatically in the search box) it doesn't show up AT ALL in the search results?

ETA: WE DID IT! Holy hand-grenades, that was fast.

....okay, wow, I thought it couldn't get worse when they included books about sex and disability but now they've gone for non-fiction books about gender dysphoria too? Isn't it lovely how they're happy to help parents prevent homosexuality, but god forbid the parents of a trans child should get advice on how to help and support their child through one of the most difficult things one can go though.

I am seething.

Yes, exactly! Me, too.

I have a feeling that Amazon is about to get Bill Napolied by the internet though.

I'm impressed at the Internet's googleboming fu. Mind you, not exactly surprised (every single post on my flist is currently about this!).

I imagine the Amazon execs are going to be in for a bit of a surprise tomorrow...

I hope Amazon learns their lesson and learns it good. (And I am especially pissed because they nixed Stone Butch Blues, and I love that book. WHAT THE HELL.)
