Tomorrow I'm meeting with someone who could give me an internship which might be critical to my finishing my studies in biochemistry (and thus, graduating college.) I'm trying to email her a reply (I should have emailed her last week but didn't) and my brain is like custard. I cannot think of what to say, I'm terrified of talking to her tomorrow. I feel like I won't remember anything about biochemistry or microarray or the very little I know about what her lab does. I'm going to stand there, going "Um, yeah, something like that I guess" and she's going to conclude that I am either incompetent or incapable of talking to people or both. Neither of which, I'd like to think, is true but damned if it doesn't feel that way.
Sorry, just needed to say that and since the boyfriend is thousands of miles away (and asleep) and the only people here to talk to are my parents (no, no, god no) I'm saying it to you guys.
ETA: I just emailed her. I hope I didn't sound too lame. :-\
OMG, I still need to write my letter for

Seriously, it's a good idea to rehearse possible answer to questions you think she's likely to ask, but don't obsess over it. Going in there confident is going to serve you a lot better than going in a nervous wreck. Take deep breaths and relax. *hugs*
