LOL. So I was thinking this morning, "Oh man I really should have just signed up to do art for SGA Big Bang. I'm going to feel so guilty if OT4/threesome doesn't happen." And then I got an email about participating. AHAHA. I signed up last night and totally forgot that I had! *FAILS*

But anyway, it's going to be sweet. My *impression* is that you can STILL sign-up as an artist/vidder for "other" slash and het/OT4 for SGA Big Bang here if you missed the weekend poll. (I mean possibly not, because I really am not good with understanding directions sometimes, but they still really need artists so yeah, I doubt they're going to turn anyone away.) ETA: You can definitely still sign up for both writing and art-making. Yay! Threesome is still up in the air about whether it will happen (but if that's the only thing you'd want to do, tell thisissirius.)

GO AND SIGN UP! WE CAN SUFFER BE AWESOME TOGETHER! I'm probably going to make a vid trailer or possibly try to something collage-y or whatnot. DRAWING NOT MY STRONG POINT.

Bigbang writers of anything other than John/Elizabeth and John/Rodney read this. Sign-ups start Wednesday.

Also, lgbtfest the multifannish LGBT-centered fanfic challenge is now open for prompt claiming. There's some seriously awesome prompts there.

(Oh god, I probably need the 720p mkv files for S4, since there aren't any DVD rips yet... *whimpers*)

If I make a bazillion OT4 clips in May, do you want them? WHY DID WE DO THIS AGAIN?!? ...because we love our pairings. Right.

OMG yes!!! Does the dl comm have 720p files? I think all the ones I have saved on cds are 350MB ones! And I don't have *any* S4 eps either. I'm going to have to go buy an external harddrive. What about stock footage? Might need stock footage for stuff. Eep. I'm going to have nightmares about aspect ratios!

We will not speak of stock footage. Though honestly, I was rewatching some eps in S2 for just this purpose last night, and there is a lot of stock-like footage already in the show, if you know where to look.

I don't know if the dl comm has them, but I went with DVD rips for S1-3, b/c I have the DVDs and can control the quality. Of course, that means they're not TV aspect, so I don't know what to do about working in S4 unless I plan to crop every clip (which is actually pretty easy to do in ffmpeg, if you know how much you need to chop). Still, less than ideal. Maybe the DVDs will come out sooner than expected? *wishful thinking*

FinalCut sounds like heaven, but I don't know if the newer versions will even run on Tiger. It would be nice to be able to compress properly into something other than mp4, though.
